E-commerce in Spain has experienced a remarkable growth in 2023, exceeding 99,200 million euros in turnover, representing an increase of 16% over the previous year. In addition, the number of online shoppers has reached 30 million, consolidating the upward trend in digital shopping.

According to the National Observatory of Technology and Society (Ontsi), the turnover of digital commerce has shown a steady increase since 2014, when around 16.3 billion euros were recorded. By 2023, this figure has exceeded 99.2 billion, evidencing the consolidation of e-commerce in the country.

The report highlights that 96% of the Spanish population between 16 and 74 years of age uses the Internet, which is equivalent to 34.5 million people.
